The Christmas Market at St. Peter's Aldborough Hatch was well attended on Saturday 22nd November - with the home-made preserves and cakes stalls proving highly popular. The preserve stall's pickled onions, marmalade, pickles and jams were a sell-out success, whilst the home-made cakes were snapped up by the discerning customers who know a bargain when they see one.
A unique feature of the Christmas Market is the Exhibition of Nativity Sets in the church. This year a record number of sets were loaned by members of St. Peter's and friends - over 150 sets were on display. Visitors enjoyed the peace of the church as they looked at the wide range of nativity sets - from cardboard cut-outs, to traditional stables and glassware.
Said the Revd Kate Lovesey, Priest-in-Charge: "It was a bustling, busy day when we were able to welcome members of the local community and friends from far and wide."
