The annual "Nagar Kirtan" took place on Sunday 9th Sept 2018. This Sikh custom involved the processional singing of hymns from Barking to Seven Kings Sikh temples via Ilford Lane and the High Road. The procession was led by the saffron-robed "Panj Piare" (the five beloved of the guru) followed by the holy Sikh scripture on a float. The congregation followed thereafter singing hymns along the way and joined by families on route to make a large procession. Food and drink was served by volunteers.
