Crying Icicles Instead Of Tears

The London Aquatic Centre is crying icicles instead of tears. Many icicles have formed on the roof of the London Aquatic Centre. The event entrance is currently sealed off, to avert the danger posed by falling icicles. Some of the icicles are over 4ft long. Icicles typically form on days when the outdoor air temperature is subfreezing but sunshine warms and melts some snow or ice. As it drips off its host, a water droplet freezes when it loses its heat to the cold air.
