Glamis Adventure Playground, a community play area based in Shadwell, was treated to a massive facelift. Over five days, more than 200 Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) volunteers worked under the guidance of East London Business Alliance (ELBA) to repaint and replace old and tired play equipment, install a huge eight-sided swing and other exciting new features. They leave a lasting legacy on the site; the charity can conserve its limited resources without having to replace worn out play equipment, and local children feel invested in and have new equipment to play on. Jamila, 10 years old, said: “I love the new adventure playground; the amazing swings are safer and better and thank you to everyone who helped.”
