Three members of Havering ST John Ambulance have recieved prestigious awards by being invested or promoted in, The Most Venerable Order of The Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. These awards are highly recognised within the community as they are awarded by Her Majesty, the Queen, Sovereign Head of the Order. The Investiture was carried out at the Priory Church in Clerkenwell by the Prior of England and the Islands.
Christopher Beales (Left) Borough Officer of Havering was promoted to Officer Brother, Mark Hills (Centre) Lead Healthcare Professional and Divisonal Officer of Romford Division was invested as a Serving Brother, Uddin Ashraf (Right) Member of Rainham and South Hornchurch Divison was invested as a Serving Brother also. All Three are long serving members of St John Ambulance and freely give up their time to provide medical support, first aid teaching and advice to the community when on public duties. Each member recieved a medal to be worn on ceremonial occasions as well as a ribbon that is worn on their duty uniform.
