Three students from Waltham Forest College were amongst the thousands of dancers who thrilled a global audience during the Olympics Opening Ceremony 2012 on Friday 27th July 2012. L-R Wilza Mendez (art and design), Iva Palujnskait (ESOL) and Kenzo Liwasa, (Business Studies). After rigorous auditions and months of rehearsing and hard work in secret they were elated to be part of this magnificent event. Kenzo who lives in Leyton said: "This was once in life time experience and it was really great to meet people from all over the Country. Being involved in this event has made me realise that I would like to my dancing further". Students received a certificate of appreciation from Danny Boyle thanking them for the time, energy and skills to participate in this great event. This is a great tribute to the students and Waltham Forest College, who are proud to be such a key part of east London and it regeneration.
