Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

On Wednesday and Thursday last week, Year 5 pupils from William Bellamy, Richard Alibon and Valence primary schools joined forces with Eastbrook School to stage a ‘Disney Festival’.
It was an extremely enjoyable occasion, overflowing with Disney-inspired song and dance from over a hundred primary and secondary pupils. Festival organiser Julie Bishop, Head of Performance at Eastbrook School, said she hoped to put on another festival next year, possibly with a different theme.
The event was designed to strengthen links between primary and secondary in the borough. It was a collaborative project involving liaison between the primary schools and Eastbrook’s Drama, Art, Music and Media departments.
Eastbrook School is a Specialist School for the Visual Arts and was recently awarded ‘Artsmark Gold’ status.
