The 820 pupils of South Park Primary School had a surprise when member of staff, Joan Pettit, appeared at their Jubilee Picnic dressed as the Queen! The picnic event included the playing of old fashioned games, saw each class icing their own Jubilee cake (courtesy of ISS) and everyone coming together to sing 'God Save The Queen' to finish. The weather stayed dry and Deputy Headteacher Elisabeth Gelston said that it had been a perfect day for South Park's celebration of our Queen's 60 years on the throne.
