Eastbrook students visit the Horniman Science Museum and study a Barn Owl’s lunch!
A group of 26 Year 9 students attended a Science Study week at Horniman Science Museum organised by National STEM centre.
Students were given the task to find out what Barn Owls have for dinner by dissecting the waste pellets that they had regurgitated . Students loved the activity and that was the highlight of the day.
The second activity was a guided tour of the Museum and Aquarium. The students were able to identify water creatures and how they were protected.
After lunch, we had our independent tour where students chose to go around the garden, the glass house and second trip to the aquarium.
Overall, students loved the trip and they were asked to write down their best part of the trip for their homework.
