Cheshire grins were in evidence as Eastbrook School celebrated World Book Day with a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’. Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 received their £1 complimentary book vouchers and were able to have their pictures taken ‘Seaside Style’ with friends as characters Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Sumptuous Imitation food was made by students in the Art Department and activities were carried out in various classes ending with a showing of the film Alice in Wonderland. Organiser Phyllis Abbott commented “ World Book Day enables staff and students to come together and celebrate the joy of reading for pleasure. It was great to see so many people taking part and having fun!” Pictures of the day include Biaggio Martini (year 7) as the Mad Hatter Charlotte Little as Alice, Ellie Beaven as the White Rabbit and Vanessa Caweewat as the Dormouse.
