Stratford Gold Post Box

Stratford welcomes its very own gold post box.

The daughter of Dr. Ludwig Guttmann (founder of the Paralympic movement), Eva Loeffler OBE (Mayor of the Athletes Village), helped paint the post box.

It is the nearest gold post box to the Olympic Village.

The golden post box, in commemoration of the third holding of the Olympic Games, will remind the people of Stratford of the sense of pride we felt as a nation towards the wonderful successes of Team GB during the six weeks of Olympic and Paralympic events.

The Olympic Games and in particular the Paralympic Games have seen record attendances, a testimony to the organisation of LOCOG and the British public who have volunteered their time to make these games the most memorable ever.

The gold post box is located outside Stratford Post Office at Broadway, E15.
