The Concert featured members of St. Peter's and the Ilford Operatic and Dramatic Society.

Traditional carols were sung side by side with 'Have yourself a merry little Christmas' and 'When Santa got stuck up the chimney'.

Readings were drawn from Charles Dickens and John Betjeman among others.

The evening ended with a spirited rendition of 'Thank you for the music' and 'Glory, glory, sing the Christmas story'.

Hot mulled wine and seasonal refreshments were served to the 70-strong audience. Over £500 was raised for St. Peter's Church.
