Today marks the 1st anniversary of Westfield, Stratford City.
A low key affair as far as Westfield are concerned, because they are not celebrating their birthday for another nine days.
Whilst walking through Westfield today, as I passed Lloyds Bank, an olympic torchbearer was displaying his torch.
Having watched the torch being paraded through the country, I was overjoyed when the the torch was handed to me for this photograph.
Even though the olympics and paralympics have now gone and are just memories, I felt an immense sense of pride holding this iconic piece of history.
My thanks to the torchbearer for allowing me to manhandle his prized possession, from what, in his words, was "the best day of my life".
